Deputy Commissioner of Faridpur Umm Salma Tanzia was elected the country's best Deputy Commissioner. The matter was confirmed in a letter signed by the Senior Assistant Secretary Shirin Akter from the same office on Tuesday, according to the Secretary of Information and Communication Technology Division. In the letter, the Deputy Commissioner of Faridpur Umm Salma Tanzia has been elected the country's best Deputy Commissioner, in recognition of the special contribution of citizen service through ICT for the Digital World-017 award. On September 15 last year Umm Salma Tanzia joined Faridpur as Deputy Commissioner. After joining, he took a number of programs to make the administration public friendly. District e-Service Center, UDC, Help Desk, Joyita Aangan, Initiated various activities including digital hijrasah programs and improve the quality of services. In order to educate the students about modern and moral education, students and teachers-teachers organized various programs to coordinate. He established multimedia class room in more than 250 schools and colleges. District Administrator Umm Salma Tanzia told Samkal, "We have been trying to build quality public service and public-friendly administration to implement the Vision 2021 and Vision 2041 declared by the government to implement SDG. The district administration is trying to bring all the citizens under e-service to build Digital Bangladesh. "Deputy Commissioner said, expressing the confidence to work with honesty, transparency and sincerity for the development of Faridpur district. Considering the tradition of Faridpur, we will try to transform this district into the first line of Bangladesh. We are working with all the officers and employees of Faridpur district administration. Meanwhile, Faridpur district has been in the country for the first few months of the e-documenting process. Umm Salma Tanzia, daughter of Rajbari Pangsha, got her graduation and post-graduate degree in biology from Dhaka University. In 1998, he joined Brahmanbaria district as assistant commissioner of BCS (Administration) Cadre. Then, in different districts, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Senior Assistant Secretary of Public Administration Ministry, Upazila Nirbahi Officer was appointed as the officer. Sirajganj district as Additional Deputy Commissioner In March 2013, he was promoted as Deputy Secretary. Later on the Prime Minister's Office Access to Information (Ato II) was working. Lastly he served as Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior.
